Republican Report May Provide Proof of Trump Treason

When Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee on Friday released a report on Russia’s involvement in the 2016 election, we learned more information about the famous Trump Tower meeting in June of 2016 that takes away any doubt that the Trump presidential campaign colluded with Russia to help Trump get elected.

Thanks to this report, we also learned additional information that points to President Donald Trump being personally and directly involved not only in setting up the meeting to “get dirt” on Hillary Clinton, but also in conspiring with Russia to interfere in the U.S. elections.

Whoever Mueller proves was involved in this conspiracy was guilty not only of a serious felony but also potentially of actual treason against the United States.  And it appears he may have this proof against both father and son:  President Donald Trump and Donald Trump, Jr.

When Donald Jr set up the meeting with the Russians at Trump Tower he was in fact meeting with a Russian government spy.  (The meeting was with with Natalia Veselnitskaya, who has admitted in an interview that she is a Russian government “informant,” which is a way of saying that she is in fact a Russian government spy.)  So there is no doubt the meeting was between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

But there is more to it than that.  There are some mysterious cell phone records that may point to involvement by the president.  Consider this summary from Talking Points Memo:

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, told the Washington Post on Friday that Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee blocked an effort by Democrats to learn more about a phone call Donald Trump Jr. made that may have been related to the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with a Kremlin-linked lawyer.”
“Trump Jr. made three phone calls on June 6, 2016, three days before the meeting, two of which were with Emin Agalarov, the Russian pop star who helped arrange the Trump Tower meeting, according to Democrats’ official response to the Republican report from the House Intelligence Committee released on Friday. In between the two phone calls, Trump Jr. spoke with someone using a blocked phone number, which may have been his dad, Donald Trump, according to the Democrats.

There would be no reason for the Republican puppets on the House Intelligence Committee to prevent the Democrats from learning more about the calls UNLESS they knew that the blocked phone call was from Donald Trump himself.

It is hardly a surprise to think that Donald Jr called his dad before setting up the meeting to get approval and guidance.  In fact, it is hard to imagine the younger Trump doing anything without his father’s express approval.

This means that there may be documented evidence and proof of Donald Trump conspiring with his son to work with Russia to affect the outcome of the 2016 U.S. presidential election.  The Intelligence Committee may have the proof, and Mueller may also have the proof.  The evidence would show the existence of at least one very serious felony, and maybe more.

But it also may make the Trumps (and others) guilty of the more serious crime of treason against the United States.  There is debate about whether treason applies right now because we are not fighting an actual military war against Russia.  But we are in fact fighting other types of war — a new Cold War perhaps, and a “cyber war.”

The act of stealing emails from computers of Democrats and then using this hacked data to win a U.S. election may be considered an act of war.  Clearly the Russians were working with many parties in the Trump campaign, including possibly the president himself.

If such proof exists, it would make both Donald Trump Sr and Jr guilty of treason.   And it does appear to exist, and it also appears that the members of the House Intelligence Committee know this.  And you can bet that if they know it, then Mueller and his team know it too.

Thanks to Republicans we now may have the evidence to prove that our president committed treason to get elected to his office.

Trump won’t be able to pardon himself for this crime either.  He is starting to panic as he feels the noose tighten around his neck.  No wonder his tweets are increasingly bizarre and desperate.  Donald Trump is a desperate man, and we can only hope that he leaves office before he does any more damage to our country.
