A number of former FBI agents and prosecutors are saying that people who make up allegations tend not to ask for the FBI to investigate them.

People with something to hide act like Trump, not Christine Blasey Ford

Christine Blasey Ford has no reason to lie. Her life has already been ruined by just coming forward. Ford had to move out of her home and go into hiding due to death threats. The people with everything to lose are those who refuse to allow the FBI to reopen Kavanaugh‘s background check.

Republicans are afraid of what Blasey Ford might say under oath, and of what the FBI might find out about their Supreme Court nominee. The reality is that it is all or nothing for Republicans on the Kavanaugh nomination. If Brett Kavanaugh goes down, Republicans won’t have enough time to confirm another nominee before the midterm election.

If Democrats take back the Senate, they are likely to leave the seat vacant until after the 2020 election.

Dr. Ford has nothing to gain from lying, but Brett Kavanaugh and the Republican Party have everything to lose if the truth is revealed.
