Even Fox News is sprinting away from Donald Trump’s bogus and paranoid claim that President Barack Obama ordered wiretaps of Trump Tower.
According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, the right-wing “news” organization has fired senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano after perpetuating Trump’s false wiretapping claim during a series of segments last week.
More from the report:
Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano is being kept off the air indefinitely amid the controversy over his unverified claims that British intelligence wiretapped Trump Tower at the behest of former President Obama.

Fox News did not respond to inquiries about Napolitano’s status Monday. Napolitano was conspicuously missing from the network’s coverage of the confirmation hearings on Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch — an event in which he typically would have played a significant role. He has not been on the air since Thursday.
People familiar with the situation who could speak only on the condition of anonymity said Napolitano is not expected to be on Fox News Channel any time in the near future. Napolitano was not available for comment.
Even though Trump’s March 4 tweets were quickly debunked and condemned, Napolitano went on TV and turned up the crazy to 11, as the LA Times noted, by presenting “a scenario on several programs that backed [Trump’s] accusation.”
Shortly after Napolitano’s “reporting,” the White House was using it as a source for its ridiculous claim, with both Sean Spicer and Trump himself citing the Fox analyst when justifying their debunked allegation about President Obama.
The president even mentioned Napolitano’s claims during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, embarrassing himself and the country in the process.
All of this came to head on Monday after FBI Director James Comey told Congress that there was no evidence to support Trump’s claim that he was wiretapped by Barack Obama.
Fox News now appears to have given up on the bogus wiretapping allegation – leaving Trump with nobody left to cite. When will the President of the United States give it up?
