A new Gallup Poll released today found that Americans have voiced the second highest approval level with their rate of taxation, since the poll began in 1956. So the question is, why stage a protest when a majority of people don’t feel overtaxed?
Fox News has now taken to claiming that their promotion and coverage of the Tea Party protests this week is fair and balanced because they covered other populist protests in the past. Neil Cavuto cited the network’s coverage of the Million Man March in1995, even though the network didn’t exist until 1996, as a reason for their involvement in the Tea Parties.
Mexico’s Ambassador to the U.S. Arturo Sarukhan was on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday, where he urged President Obama to reinstate the assault weapons ban due to the increased violence along the U.S./Mexico border. This issue is certain to come up in the meeting between the two presidents next week.
