Trump claims that the Russian Facebook ads supporting him are no big deal because Facebook was on Hillary Clinton’s side.
The President tweeted:
Keep hearing about "tiny" amount of money spent on Facebook ads. What about the billions of dollars of Fake News on CNN, ABC, NBC & CBS?

Crooked Hillary Clinton spent hundreds of millions of dollars more on Presidential Election than I did. Facebook was on her side, not mine!

Trump appears to be trying to get himself impeached. There is no reason to draw even more attention to the Russian Facebook ad spending on his behalf. Trump was right about one thing. The media did spend billions of dollars promoting fake news during the election. It is estimated that Donald Trump got free advertising worth $5 billion during the 2016 election. The fake news that the media was covering benefitted Trump.
The President’s claim that Facebook was on the side of Hillary Clinton is also total nonsense. The reason why Facebook was able to be exploited by the Russians is that they were more interested in selling ads during the campaign than checking where those ads were coming from. Facebook helped Trump by allowing fake news from Russia and conservatives to run wild. Facebook wasn’t conspiring against Trump, but their business practices helped him get elected.
There are obviously no grown-ups around on the weekends to keep the President occupied and off Twitter.
Trump is completely whacked out, and his tweets are coming from the fractured pages of a broken mind.
