Not only did Evan Bayh vote for the Iraq war, he voted for the bankruptcy bill and his wife never met a corporate director’s job she wouldn’t take. Puuhlleeze! Why don’t these people just switch to the Republican party? Sadly, Country Club Republicans pass for Democrats in Indiana. Obama could just as well pick Lugar–try to find daylight between Bayh’s and Lugar’s voting records. I sure can’t–and I live here!

I disagree. In fact, you tell me who would be more exciting than Bayh and why. Let’s see you back it up with some facts, which you seem to lack. For example, you said Bayh lacks foreign policy experience. Not true. Check his committee membership again and for how many years he’s been there and what legislation he’s worked on.

The fact is that Bayh isn’t a foreign policy expert like Biden or Richardson. He doesn’t really have an expertise in anything, and the Obama camp seems to be looking for somebody who will add some experience or weight to the campaign. Plus, the Obama folks will never seriously say this, but they don’t seem to be considering any of the hard core Clinton supporters. I think Bayh picked the wrong horse in this race, and he is going to pay for it.
