Republican front-runner Donald Trump couldn’t defend his campaign manger Corey Lewandowski after tape revealed that he had indeed assaulted Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields, so he resorted to the typical abuser defense: He’s a victim, too.
The man with the Little Fingers is scared of Michelle Fields and her pen/stylus:
Why is this reporter touching me as I leave news conference? What is in her hand?? pic.twitter.com/HQB8dl0fhn

This argument is nothing new in abuser/assault land. Abusers love to play the victim and pretend that all things are equal, so a physically smaller human being grabbed hard enough to leave marks is the same thing as said physically smaller human carrying a pen/stylus as reporters are wont to do, and allegedly touching Donald Trump.
Never mind that Donald Trump is surrounded by security and even with his little fingers, much larger than Michelle Fields. Never mind that he is running to be president while she was a reporter at Breitbart, which is to say there exists a huge power difference in addition to the physical power difference.
This came after Trump sent a tweet directing his supporters to look at the tape because there was nothing there! But the tape is exactly why Lewandowski got charged with assault, so that argument was a big fail. Reality never stopped Donald Trump from victim blaming though.
Guess who is going to defend the alleged assaulter of a member of the press? Yeah, a former U.S. attorney who resigned after biting a stripper. You couldn’t make this stuff up if you were writing a script on the Republican war on women. It would be too unbelievable.
Donald Trump is showing exactly the kind of leader he would be, and the Republican base loves it. They love him attacking a woman who has allegedly already been attacked by his campaign manager, because the Trump voter hates being held accountable for their own actions.
Donald Trump is the kind of person who secretly kicks his small dog when no one is looking.
Donald Trump is afraid of a pen, even though he has secret service and Fields never touched him. So strong, Putin must be terrified.
