Trump Is So Desperate For A Win He Grabbed Karen Handel By the Coattails

The same Donald Trump who gave Karen Handel the worst endorsement ever is so desperate for a win he grabbed her by the coattails.

Handel’s hard fought win was by single digits in a district that all Republicans have to do to win is get their name on the ballot. She won the election despite Trump, not because of him.

But, with the Russia investigation closing in on him more each day and with Congressional Republicans incapable of agreeing on anything beyond naming a post office, Trump needs a win wherever he can get it, as Jason Easley has been saying for some time.

Handel is the oasis in Trump’s desert of losses. She gave him something to tweet about by barely eeking out victory in a deep red district. Naturally, to hear Trump tell it, you’d never know that.

Trump is so desperate for a win, days ago his team was bragging about creating coal jobs that probably don’t exist. His biggest “win†was removing Obama era regulations under the Congressional Review Act. Other than that, Trump has nothing of substance to show for four months in office and his weekends playing golf.

As long as we’re keeping count of Republican wins since Trump took office.

Trumpcare = 0.
Tax breaks for the rich = 0.
Victories in court battles over his unconstitutional Muslim Ban = 0

The jobs that Trump “prevented†from going to Mexico are going to China instead.

The wall that Mexico was going to pay for? Americans will be paying for it. Added bonus: People who voted for Trump based on this promise they’ll be living on the Mexican side of it.

Trump’s foreign policy is as “winning†as his domestic policy, with the Syria crisis as his latest failure.

With “wins†like this, no wonder Trump is clinging to Karen Handel’s coattails as tightly as he can.
