Fox News president Roger Ailes was on ABC’s This Week today, where he was confronted by Arianna Huffington about the inflammatory rhetoric that Glenn Beck uses on his show. Ailes replied, “He’s talking about Hitler and Stalin slaughtering people so I think he was probably accurate.”
2009 began with the inauguration of our new and first African American President, Barack Obama, and became the year that GOP and the Extreme Right Wing of the party became energized and very proactive in its goal to be destructive to our new President and his administration and policies by any means necessary.
In just a few short days Santa will be delivering presents to the nice and coal to the naughty. We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at Santa’s list to see what some of America’s top political figures can be expecting for Christmas. There will be some surprises under the tree for Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin and others.
While accepting the Nobel Peace Prize, President Barack Obama gave a powerful and historical lecture in Oslo, Norway. He was able to justify how a leader of a free nation could be involved in two wars, escalate troops by thousands and still be able to rightfully accept the Nobel Peace Prize. It was sheer genius and Obama at his best.
The Republican Party and its Right Wing Nuts continue to bombard the American people with lies and misleading information on everything from healthcare reform to the economy to jobs. They have managed to win the “message” war by convincing mainstream Americans that they have everything to fear from the Obama administration.
Gone are the days of smoky newsrooms and journalists that are committed to facts. They have been replaced by 24 hour cable news networks and right wing infotainers, who give partial treatment to GOP talking points and illogical rhetoric. The result of this is that journalism being undermined by right wing media bias.
Several GOP and the Right Wing Conservatives are on a campaign to “dumb down” Americans. They challenge every bill and every policy even when it is clearly for the good of the people they represent. The right wing’s greatest campaign will not be in 2010 or 2012. It is happening today as they have launched an assault on America’s collective intelligence.
The race is over. Though it is not officially over, it is mathematically over. And for all intents and purposes, “mathematically over” is as good as “officially over.” After last night’s primaries in North Carolina and Indiana, Hillary Clinton’s campaign is done. Her chances for the nomination just ran from slim to none.
