The Washington Post captured video as thousands of federal workers got back to work after the 16 day shutdown of the government by the Republican Party. Vice President Joe Biden was there to welcome them, with muffins and his BFD grin.

Sure, everyone’s all happy now, but Republicans are already threatening to shut the government down again in 90 days. Gee, they cost us at least $24 billion with this last shutdown, so the next time a conservative fear mongers about the debt while ignoring the fact that economists all say austerity is the wrong way to go right now, tell them they owe us $24 billion.
Joe Biden’s grin says: The government is a BFD. It helps a lot of people. It does a lot of good. It is obviously far from perfect, but it’s definitely better than having no government.
