Trump is bragging after being played for a fool and giving Kim Jong-un another photo op in exchange for nothing.
Trump proclaimed that it was a great honor to set foot in his “friend” Kim Jong-un’s country of North Korea:
Trump said, “Stepping across that line was a great honor. A lot of progress has been made. A lot of friendships have been made. And this is a good friendship. I want to thank you. That was quick notice.”

The president later bragged about getting conned by Kim Jong-un on Twitter:

Trump Got Conned By Kim Jong-un
Kim Jong-un got the President Of The United States to stand on North Korea soil for a photo op and he had to give up nothing. Kim gave the United States nothing. There has been no peace agreement with South Korea. North Korea hasn’t halted its nuclear program. Trump got nothing, but a picture that he hopes to be able to use in his reelection campaign to show that he is making progress on foreign policy.
Trump bombed at the G20, got caught joking with Putin about Russian election interference, and then embarrassed himself at a press conference.
Donald Trump’s G20 trip was a disaster, but he made things even worse by continuing to give Kim Jong-un everything that he has ever wanted while getting nothing in return.
Trump is the guy who is so stupid that he brags about the great deal he made while he is being conned.
Trump is Kim’s puppet and US global standing is plummeting by the second.
