On Thursday night, Gov. Sarah Palin will keep her face in the public’s mind with an appearance on American Chopper on TLC. Of course, Palin touted the value of having OCC build a chopper to commemorate Alaska’s 50 anniversary of statehood, and OCC’s patriotism. Paul Teutel chatting with Sarah Palin is just a little surreal. Check out the video.
Well, that was a little weird. Palin praised Paul Sr.’s patriotism for building a bike, “You do so many good things for some of the other states, also. You’ve got that patriotism in you that people just so respect. Thank you for that.” My question is how long before another ethics complaint is filed against Palin, while they were talking about snow machines, “We’ve got an Arctic Cat. We’ve got a couple of different kinds. Race machines. I inherit whatever Todd rejects from the year prior. … We love those motor sports.”

The idea that Palin is presidential material isn’t taken seriously by the majority of Americans, and I am of the opinion that the whole friendly folksy Sarah persona is a fraud. I think that the two possibilities are that she is either a fraud or a flake. I used to watch American Chopper every week, but honestly, the show got a just a tiny bit repetitive. I like the Tuetels, and I still find them very entertaining, but Sarah Palin needs to spend a little more time understanding policy, and less time pushing the Palin 2012 brand.
