A smear column against the Mueller grand jury turned up in a Rupert Murdoch owned publication that has long been a favorite source for Trump to dump his gossip and misinformation.
According to Page Six, this is what the Robert Mueller Russia investigation grand jury looks like:
“The grand jury room looks like a Bernie Sanders rally,†my source said. “Maybe they found these jurors in central casting, or at a Black Lives Matter rally in Berkeley [Calif.]â€
Of the 20 jurors, 11 are African-Americans and two were wearing “peace T-shirts,†the witness said. “There was only one white male in the room, and he was a prosecutor.
The biggest complaint from “anonymous source” is that there aren’t enough white people on the grand jury. Now, who does this complaint sound like? It sounds an awful lot like the current president who believes that the popular vote was stolen from him by non-white voters.
There are a wide variety of other problems with the “source’s” description of the grand jury. Someone better tell the “source” that one of the big stories of the 2016 Democratic primary was that Bernie Sanders couldn’t attract enough African-American support to win the nomination, so there is no way that a grand jury with no white people on it could look like a 2016 Sanders rally. Anybody who has been to a Sanders event can objectively testify that his supporters are overwhelmingly white.
The description of the grand jury is also racist because it assumes that African-American people can’t make an objective decision based on the facts. It is as if “anonymous source” believes that only white people are capable of giving Trump a fair trial. Again, this sounds a lot like the man who complained that the American Trump University case judge was out to get him because he was a Mexican.
The whole point of this story was to discredit the grand jury. The only reason why somebody would want to discredit a grand jury is that they are about to be indicted. The grand jury is coming for Trump, which is why he trying to tarnish any indictment that they might hand down.
Trump is getting desperate and absurdly trying to smear the grand jury that could end his presidency.
