Palin Invokes God To Explain Her Stupidity

Don't Blame Me, Blame God

Sarah Palin continues to try to explain away why she had to write her answers to the questions at last month’s Tea Party gathering in Nashville. Palin’s latest attempt occurred at a right to life fundraiser in Ohio last night. She said, “If what was good enough for God, scribbling on the palm of his hand, it’s good enough for me, for us.” Palin has now been reduced to invoking God to explain away her ineptitude.

Here is the video from Mediaite:

“Would read the palm of his hand to see what was on tap for his the curriculum the next day, so to think you know that some in the media got all wigged out about that, and they couldn’t argue the content of the words, you know the few words that I scribbled. It was tax cut, and it energy for energy independence for this nation, and it was lifting America’s spirits…I didn’t have a good answer to that criticism because I thought it was so ridiculous, then somebody sent me the other day Isaiah 49:16, and you need to go home tonight and look it up… “If what was good enough for God, scribbling on the palm of his hand, it’s good enough for me, for us. In that passage he says, I wrote your name on the palm of my hand to remember you. And I’m like okay, I’m in good company.”

Palin is now comparing herself to God. I am sure that her latest excuse will play well with her devoted followers and the God freak crowd which she is so obviously courting in order to run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, but to the rest of who expect a political leader to remember what they are supposed to be talking about without a cheat sheet, Palin’s cutesy answer is just more empty gibberish, from a woman who has become more entertainer than serious politician.

Nobody outside of her followers is buying her excuses, and this latest one is typical Palin. She is trying to explain her shortcomings with a wink and some charisma. Sarah Palin is all sizzle and no steak and I sincerely hope that she not only runs in 2012, but also captures the Republican nomination, because then she will be exposed for being the fraud that she really is. Obama would obliterate Palin in a general election matchup because it takes more than the ability to entertain at a fundraiser in order to be president.

    I could be wrong on this, but the line she is referring to does not mean writing on the hands, but rather the crucifixion marks.

    She’d have to press pretty hard with her pen to do that.

    @Fixing Palin, I am no theological scholar, but I don’t believe that God needed a cheat sheet to remember what he was supposed to do during creation.

    Maybe not, but the verse does read that way, and its from the old testament, so its not about crucification (unless you believe it was prophetic) or creation.
    I also don’t think its fair to say she was comparing herself to God. Her syntax doesn’t even imply it. I think the woman is an idiot, but the media looks like even bigger idiots when they make unfounded attacks.

    @liv, I don’t think that my piece was either a). an attack or b). unfounded. She could very easily let the story of the cheat sheet on her hand die, but she refuses to. I am simply pointing out the sheer idiocy of her defense.

    @liv, Well, if you believe in that kind of stuff, Isaiah thought he was a prophet. Of course, so did David Koresh. Let’s hope Palin doesn’t start going around and burning her compounds down.

    I don’t think she’s ready for the office of President of the USA, but she’s gotten a raw deal from the media. John McCain sort of threw her to the wolves, too.
    The Bible says that all authority is given by God and as long as I’m not asked to do anything contrary to His word, I must submit to that authority. I didn’t vote for Obama, but as long as he doesn’t try to make me do something that goes against God’s word, I’ll submit. I can tell you this….he claims to be a Christian yet the majority of what he supports is in direct opposition to God. And, the Bible says if you aren’t for God you are against Him.
    AC – I appreciate that you are able to get your point across intelligently without cursing and name calling.
    As for Sarah Palin and what she has or hasn’t done for or to Alaska, I can’t comment on because I really don’t know. I do know that she’s proven herself as a force to be reckoned with and she’s not ashamed of the Gospel….and because she speaks openly about what Christ has done in her life and she upholds the Name of Jesus as Lord of all, she has the favor of God upon her life and He will bless what she puts her hand to.

    It wasn’t Palin using her hand as a crib sheet that was criticized. It was the hypocrisy of her criticizing Obama for using a teleprompter.
    “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” John 8:7. “For the same way you judge others, you will be judged.” Matthew 7:2. Yet another book she hasn’t read.

    @Mintylaramie, I agree with you that not only Sarah’s criticism of the teleprompter is hypocritical, but all of the right wing mention of it is hypocritical, or have they forgotten that their political lord and savior Ronald Reagan could not say hello without a teleprompter?

    You’re an idiot she did’nt compare herself to God.

    You all got so wee-weed up becuase she wrote on her hand, she made fun of you that Hey even God writes on his hand, are you going to take God to task now. YOu guys dont beleive in God so I guess its not a problem for you guys.

    You people are so obsessed with Palin that everything she does you take out of context and turn in to an issue.

    You dont have to like her and you dont have to agree with her. Just leave the women alone. What has she done to hurt you? She wants to be president? Well it’s her right. If she runs voters will decide. You dont have to vote for her and according to you guys she has no chance of wining anyway. So what’s the big deal. Let her run if she wants to, whoever wants to support her will and whoever does not won’t. But come on there is enough crap going on in the country that what Palin does or does not do should not be the top story of the day.

    @Alex,

    I will tell you why people are so concerned with pointing out the flaws of Palin. It is because they don’t want someone who cannot remember three simple talking points such as tax cuts, energy independence, and lifting America’s spirits to lead our country. Everything else is minor compared to the fact that she is not capable of doing the job. When someone puts themselves out there to be among the candidates running for president, they open themselves up for this kind of scrutiny. So this is why people will never “just leave the woman alone.” To leave her alone would not only be foolish but dangerous. That is exactly the kind of thinking that led to all the problems that have come from the Bush administration and their ineptitude to make good decisions. We have been down that road and it almost destroyed the country.

    @Alex,

    They cant leave her alone because they fear her. Typical Liberal attack on anyone who actually stands a chance of winning and actually has conservative ideals. Just face it, if she runs she will win. I think people are plenty sick of the Obama presidency and the lost mantra of Hope and Change. The first Black president new has worn off and everyone who voted for this moron is finally seeing that he is not the messiah sent to deliver free everything for everyone.

    I am not a huge Palin fan, but she was given a raw deal by the media, esp CBS setting up questions that most political scholars cant even answer, let alone Katie (idiot) Courik. I guess she got the needed ratings boost thought to keep her job another 6 months since she was getting her ass handed to her by the other network news programs.

I am so f-ing sick of liberal this, liberal that, conservatives this, blah, blah, blah. We are ALL in this mess together and need to stop acting like preschoolers to get things done. However, I am sorry, Palin is an idiot. I could have answered any and all of the questions Couric asked her and most people with any education could.

    She missed the point. Using crib notes wasn’t the problem- I mean if she couldn’t
    answer the top three things she thinks are important without crib notes-THAT is
    a problem! If only he had asked her a really difficult geograhy question or something then the use of crib notes would be justified-especially if one is getting paid 100,000 dollars for an appearance. Remember tho- reigning in spending is the #1 priority. HAHAHA

    Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands” (Isaiah 49:16).

    God has such a nice way of making the likes of you, Mr. Easley, look like the fool you are.
    You’d do well to heed this warning from my Lord and Savior….”He permitted no man to do them, (God’s anointed), wrong. Yes, He rebuked KINGS for THEIR sakes, saying, “Do not touch my anointed ones, (those set apart for God’s service), and do my prophets no harm”. 1 Chronicles 16:21-22
    While you’re pretending to be a journalist and writing about a topic that really hasn’t much substance coming from someone who obviously doesn’t do his homework, there is a greater, much more critical story to be told. There have been more than 258 earthquakes greater than a 4.5 on the richter scale in the past 8 days. This is just one of the signs Jesus told Believers to watch for that would signal His second coming. Watching world news at almost any given time on any given day is like reading the pages of Ezekiel, Daniel, Joel, and Revelation. Now, whether you believe the Bible or not, that’s going to get a lot more attention than teleprompters and writing notes on the palm of a hand……and we all know it’s not really about those things, anyway, don’t we? (Rhetorical question, no need to respond).

    It must be nice not to have anything to do but make fun of people you don’t like (especially if they are a Republican ). I amsick and tired of most of the liberal media running people down and making fun if they don’t say what you want them to say.

    More time should be spent on reporting the news instead of making it up to suit yourself.

    Its time to check into the healthcare bill and see what it really says and how we are going to pay for it. I am sure there needs to be changes made in health care , however I really don’t think we want the federal government running anything else. They are going broke in Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security and just look at thepostal service.

    The only thing we can say they are doing right is: Raising the National Debt so high that we will never get out of debt.

    We also need to do something the balance the foreign trade. We buy everything made in china and most of it is junk and has alot of recalls.

    WAKE UP AMERICA and run out the Liberals on both side of the aisle in Washington and elect Americans who know how to balance their own budgets at home or in their businesses and lets turn this Country back into a Debt free nation that is Proud.

    @Jan Mottinger, of course, the last time this country was operating with a surplus–thus debt free, i suppose you would say, because none of us (i suspect you included) are totally debt free–was under a democrat administration. debt is not a four letter word to republicans. and you probably don’t own a business because successful business owners invest in their futures.

    @Amanda Riddle,
    FYI….. President Bush presided over a $2.5 trillion increase in the public debt through 2008. Setting aside 2009 (for which Presidents Bush and Obama share responsibility for an additional $2.6 trillion in public debt), President Obama’s budget would add $4.9 trillion in public debt from the beginning of 2010 through 2016— nearly double the amount accumulated under President Bush over the same number of years. Overall, the public debt level would double over the next decade to $15.4 trillion ($12.5 trillion in inflation-adjusted dollars). At 67 percent of GDP, this would constitute America’s largest debt burden since immediately following World War II
    Obama makes Bush look like a penny pincher.

    I cannot believe the complete fascination you all find in this small, small story. Hmmm, notes in hand which amounted to about 7 words as just topical reminders.
    This vs. a president who can’t even give one speech without reading it word for word from his teleprompter.
    Wish someone would do for him what ESPN did for Charles Barkley a few years back. Those of you who don’t know, they stuck the statement,”I am a dumba**!”
    and he read it. That would be great. Of course whenever he, Biden, Palosi, and Reed, speak with or without notes they show they are STUPID, and that is with notes.
    The proof is out there for those willing to open up their brainwashed minds to see the truth.

    Folks are so fed up with mainstream politicians, they are willing to follow a pretty face with an average brain. Would you hire a pretty face with an average brain to lead your family business? Would you hire a pretty face with an average brain to coach your college basketball team? I think not.

    The popularity of Sara Palin is a glaring example of the failure of our educational system. Because there’s plenty of dim-wits in America.
