After Josh Duggar and family have tried to cover up the fact that he molested five underage girls, it is time for outraged Americans to demand that 19 Kids And Counting be canceled immediately by TLC.
The scandal started when In Touch published a story about Josh Duggar and sexual abuse, “Josh Duggar of the TLC hit reality show 19 Kids and Counting was named in a police report as the “alleged offender” in an underage sexual abuse probe, In Touch magazine is reporting exclusively.”
TMZ followed up, “According to the police report, Josh fondled the genitals and breasts of the girls, some of whom were sleeping, but sometimes they were interacting with him … in one case reading a book. There was another reported incident 9 months later. According to the police report, the police were not immediately contacted. Instead, Jim Bob, the dad, met with church elders and agreed Josh should be put in a treatment program. The police report says Josh’s mom, Michelle, said it wasn’t really a treatment center … they simply sent Josh to a guy who was remodeling a building to do manual labor.”

Josh Duggar responded with the typical right-wing “youthful indiscretions” defense, “Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends. I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life.”
It is clear that the Duggars are not going to do the right thing, and TLC will never do what’s right unless they are forced to, which is why we are asking PoliticusUSA readers to sign our petition demanding that TLC cancel 19 Kids and Counting and pull all programs featuring the Duggars off of their network immediately.
A cast member on a TLC program has admitted to sexually abusing children. TLC wasted no time in canceling Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, but it has been hours since the Duggar scandal broke, and TLC has issued no comment.
The Duggars covered up their son’s sexual abuse of their daughters. TLC had to have known about this, and yet, they have done nothing.
The network seems to be trying to wait out the story in the hopes that it will blow over. It is up to you to make sure that it doesn’t.
