White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked for a response to Sen. Bob Corker’s questions about Trump’s stability. Instead of sticking up for her boss, Sanders refused to answer the question.

When asked about Republican Sen. Corker’s criticism that has Trump hasn’t demonstrated stability and competence, all the Press Secretary could say was, “I think that’s a ridiculous and outrageous claim and doesn’t dignify a response from this podium.”
Huckabee Sanders could have pointed to Trump’s decades of success in the private sector if that success wasn’t a Trump created myth. She could have pointed to Trump’s accomplishments, but he doesn’t have any. The Press Secretary could have claimed that the criticism was unjustified by any evidence, even though the video evidence of unstable Trump behavior is approaching hundreds of hours in length.
The worst thing that Sarah Huckabee Sanders could say was nothing at all.
Trump’s own White House Press Secretary couldn’t vouch for his mental state. The people who work with Donald Trump don’t run to his defense when the question of mental competence is raised.
By not saying anything at all, Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the American people everything that they need to know about Trump’s mental state.
