Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) has seen the House Republican secret memo, and he called it an effort to brainwash House Republicans into believing conspiracy theories during an interview on CNN.

Rep. Swalwell said, “I have read it and best describe it as a brainwashing document that tries to put forward to the rest of the members of the House of Representatives a number of myths and at best conspiracy theories. I think to undermine Bob Mueller’s investigation as he interviews more witnesses and gets closer to telling the American people what happened.”

The reason why Republicans tried to so hard to keep this memo secret is that it cherry picks bits and pieces of classified intelligence to tell a mythical tale of conspiracy theories all in an effort to discredit and undermine the Mueller investigation. The memo has nothing to do with getting to the truth about what happened with the Russians and the 2016 election.
The memo is designed to create a conspiracy theory that will undermine Mueller, discredit the FBI, and save the drowning Trump presidency.
With this memo, House Republicans will make themselves part of the Trump/Russia cover-up. The Russia scandal is cancer that has consumed the Republican Party, and the GOP’s efforts to protect Trump are only going to bring them down.
