Pelosi And Schumer To Drop The Hammer In Trump Address Response

Trump is going to be responded to directly by Housse Speaker Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer after his address on the shutdown.

The office of Sen. Schumer (D-NY) announced, “Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and will deliver a response to President Trump’s 9:00 p.m. E.T. address Tuesday evening following the conclusion of his remarks.”

Democrats are challenging Trump with their leaders

Democrats requested equal time from the networks after Trump’s shutdown address, and they aren’t going to give that time to some nervous member of Congress who isn’t used to being on the national stage. This isn’t going to be like the State Of The Union responses that opposition parties have struggled with for years. The highest-ranking member of the US government outside of the White House (Speaker Pelosi), and the Senate Democratic Leader (Sen. Schumer) are going to rebut Trump’s lies directly.

Trump fell face first into a Democratic trap

The majority of the country agrees with the Democrats. No one outside of Trump’s shrinking base supports the wall or the government shutdown. Trump is going to repeat his canned lies and misinformation about immigration, and Pelosi and Schumer are going to unload on him. Trump has found a way to use the presidency to politically harm himself.
