“As the people of Atlantic City know better than anyone, Donald Trump cannot get the job done for American workers,” Hillary Clinton said Wednesday in a blistering speech delivered outside of a shuttered Trump casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Clinton’s remarks come as her campaign focuses its efforts on exposing the presumptive GOP nominee as the conman that he is. She went straight to the heart of the Trump’s main argument – that he is the candidate who will bring back jobs for the working class.

Clinton painted Trump as a fraud who cares only about “how much he can take” and not “how much he can build.

“He always rigged it so he got paid no matter how his companies performed,” she said.

Clinton is right, too. According to an in-depth New York Times report from June, “[Trump] put up little of his own money, shifted personal debts to the casinos and collected millions of dollars in salary, bonuses and other payments. The burden of his failures fell on investors and others who had bet on his business acumen.”

In the same way, Trump is hoping voters will make the same bet on him in November, even though there is no evidence that the spray-tanned billionaire cares about anything other than attention and money. There is certainly no indication that Trump knows (or cares to know) anything about important policy matters.

The Clinton campaign also released a video Wednesday that lays out how the presumptive Republican nominee “made millions in Atlantic City while bankrupting his businesses, laying off his workers, and stiffing his contractors.”

During Clinton’s speech, she also took a swipe at New Jersey governor and potential Trump running mate Chris Christie.

“If [Christie] would start doing his job instead of following Donald Trump around, holding his coat, maybe we could really get New Jersey’s economy going again,” she said.

Ouch.
