It is very simple. Hillary Clinton is a net (+39) in favorability with Latino voters. Donald Trump is an eye-popping net (-71).
The only turnout model where Trump has any chance of winning is white male conservative voting increases, while African-Americans, Latinos, and women all vote in smaller numbers. If the turnout follows the current presidential election year trends, white voter turnout will drop, while non-white turnout will continue to grow.
Donald Trump is already battered and stumbling into the Republican convention in Cleveland.
Trump has proven that he can build a wall. Donald Trump is in the process of walling off the Republican Party from a key group of voters whose support they needed if they were going to have any hope of winning back the White House in November.
