Planned Parenthood tried to deliver 87,000 petitions to Speaker of The House Paul Ryan’s office, but they were greeted by six security guards as the leader of “The People’s House” closed his office and refused the petitions.
The Planned Parenthood Action Fund Twitter account detailed the events:

This is what democracy looks like to Speaker Paul Ryan. A majority of Americans have consistently opposed defunding Planned Parenthood, but Republicans are showing that all of their talk about freedom and doing the people’s work is empty rhetoric.
If one tries to express the true will of the people to Speaker Ryan, they will be rejected and introduced to the security guards.
This is the real definition of freedom in the eyes of Paul Ryan, and it is as un-American as it gets.
