Wendy Davis exposed Greg Abbott’s ties to a PAC called “Boats ‘n Hoes” as the latest example of Abbott’s disrespect for women in his policies and in his choice of associates.
Reports revealed a connection between Greg Abbot and a PAC called “Boats ‘n Hoes” The PAC with the offensive name was registered with the Texas Ethics Commission April 1, 2014 by Shaun Nowacki.
Nowacki is the comptroller for the GOP consulting firm, Blakemore and Associates which lists Abbott listed as a client between 1991-2004.

Not to worry. Abbott hasn’t used the firm’s services for years, according to his spokesman.
But then there really isn’t much need to hire the firm because Alan Blakemore is the senior strategist for the Republican candidate for Lieutenant-Governor.
This is only the latest example of Abbott’s misogynistic attitude toward women. That attitude was reflected in Abbott’s policy as Attorney-General of paying women less than male counterparts doing the same work. Abbott looked to Charles Murray, who argues that women and racial minorities are inferior to white men, as an inspiration for his education policy.
Then there’s that appearance with sexual predator, Ted Nugent.
The Davis Campaign commented on Abbott’s ties to “Boats ‘n Hoes”, with the following statement:
Greg Abbott’s consultants are clearly taking their cues from Abbott himself, who campaigns with an admitted sexual predator of underage girls, who pays women less than men for doing the same work and who forms his education plan with the ideas of a man like Charles Murray, who argues women are inferior to men. The language used by Greg Abbott’s consultants is offensive to every Texas mother and daughter — and the men who love them — and has no place in politics.
Less than 24 hours after Republicans figured out that calling women “Hoes” is offensive, the PAC was dissolved, according to records at the Texas Ethics Commission.
However, it comes too late. This latest revelation only confirms the pattern of Abbott’s disrespect for the women of Texas and the men who love them.
