Bernie Sanders was a one-man fact bomb on CNN, as the Democratic presidential candidate told the truth about the Republican pattern of falsely blaming President Obama for every problem.

Sanders said, “What was really remarkable was the way that they avoided every single problem facing humanity is attributable to Barack Obama. He has caused all the problems. We seem to have forgotten that when Bush left office 800,000 people were losing their jobs every single month. The world’s financial system was on the verge of collapse, and our deficit was a record-breaking $1.4 trillion.”
Sen. Sanders also hit the Republican presidential candidates for their false claim that Democrats don’t want to solve the immigration crisis, and he called them out for wanting to do nothing on climate change.
Sanders was correct. The default Republican position on every question during the two debates was to blame Obama. Republicans took zero responsibility for the mess that they created. Republican presidential candidates love to rewrite history by claiming that all of the problems started with President Obama.
Republicans ignore the fact that Obama has spent much of presidency cleaning up the mess that was left behind by George W. Bush and their party. The only mention of Bush all night was that he “kept us safe.” This claim ignores the fact that Bush was also the president who dropped the ball and allowed the terrorists to kill 3,000 Americans on 9/11.
Bernie Sanders is not standing by and allowing Republicans to wipe the record clean of the Bush years. Republicans nearly destroyed the global economy, and Sen. Sanders is not going to let them demean the good work that President Obama has done.
