Comey Firing Backfires On Trump After Former FBI Director Asked To Testify Before Congress

If firing James Comey was Trump’s big move to make the Russia scandal go away, it has horribly backfired, as Comey has been asked by the Senate Intelligence Committee to testify next Tuesday.

Here is ranking Intel Committee member Sen. Mark Warner saying that he hopes Comey takes advantage of the opportunity to testify:

Trump has been shocked by the backlash that the firing of Comey has generated. The President believed that Democrats would support the firing of Comey. The odd belief that people wouldn’t see the reason that Comey was fired explains why Trump’s letter firing the FBI Director blamed his handling of the Clinton email investigation for his dismissal.

The president believed that Democrats and the rest of America are stupid. The real reasons that Comey was fired center around Russia. Comey told the Senate Judiciary Committee that the FBI was investigating Trump, and he also asked the White House for more money to spend on the Russia investigation.

Donald Trump made his Russia cover-up obvious by firing Comey, and now both Democrats and Republicans on the Senate Intelligence Committee want to hear what Comey has to say.
