The presidential turkey pardon is supposed to be one of those light and fun moments for a president, but since Donald Trump can’t be trusted to talk without a script, the White House had to write it all down and put the speech on a giant teleprompter for Trump to read.

There is a good reason why Trump always sounds like a five-year-old reading a book report about a book that he never read.
Behold, the teleprompter:
Gone were the groan-inducing dad jokes and lighthearted fun of Obama’s turkey pardons. Instead, Trump stuck to a tight script where he kept trying to look serious and presidential while doing the most unserious thing that a president does.
If Trump can’t be trusted to do something as simple as telling a few bad jokes and pardon a couple of Thanksgiving turkeys, he can’t be trusted to make life and death decisions for the country.
The lights are on, but no one is home for Trump, as this president looks more gone with each passing day.
