Trump Says He’s Cool With Kim Jong Un Firing Missiles: ‘I Have No Problem’

Donald Trump said on Thursday that it’s “no problem” that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is firing off short-range missiles.

When asked about the latest uptick in North Korea’s missile testing, Trump seemed not to really care at all, suggesting that’s cool with it.

“Short-range missiles, we never made an agreement on that,” the president said. “I have no problem.”

As Vox noted on Thursday, North Korea’s latest missile test was the third its carried out in just over a week. And while, yes, these are short-range missiles, it’s ridiculous for the U.S. commander-in-chief to dismiss any form of aggression coming from a country that is actively trying to develop a nuclear weapon.

It’s also pretty obvious that Trump didn’t care to ask South Korea what they think of their neighbors to the north firing off missiles.

All it took was a love letter from Kim Jong Un

Donald Trump is the most thin-skinned man that has ever been president. On a near-daily basis, he takes to social media to bully anybody that dares to criticize him personally.

But when it comes to authoritarian leaders, Trump’s tough-guy schtick seems to evaporate. Instead, he is reduced to an obedient child, bending over backward to praise dictators and give them the benefit of the doubt on just about everything – whether it’s Russia’s attack on the 2016 election or North Korea’s increased aggression.

The terrifying truth that America’s foes are figuring out is that they can get away with just about anything so long as they say nice things – or even write nice love letters – to this president.

Donald Trump doesn’t care about bolstering U.S. national security or defending American interests. He only cares about having his ego massaged.
