The impeachment investigation testimony of Trump’s Ukraine envoy Bill Taylor is so bad for the president that it caused gasps in the room.
Politico reported:
William Taylor was facing questions from House investigators about the deep concerns he had that Trump was withholding military aid to the eastern European nation to pressure Ukrainian leaders to investigate former Vice President and 2020 hopeful Joe Biden on spurious charges.
According to a source in the room for Taylor’s deposition, the longtime career government official’s opening statement was 15 pages long and prompted “a lot of sighs and gasps†inside the room.
Trump is trying to be controversial and steal headlines by comparing impeachment to lynching because the testimony of Bill Taylor is going to be very bad for Donald Trump.
Taylor had to be subpoenaed, even after agreeing to testify, because the State Department tried to block his testimony. Trump comparing impeachment to lynching is horrendous, but it is what Donald Trump does.
The testimony of Bill Taylor, who told the administration that it was crazy to withhold Ukraine aid unless they investigated Joe Biden is certain to be even worse for Trump and the White House.
Bill Taylor is revealing the corrupt underbelly of the Trump administration. Most Americans already knew that the situation was bad, but the gasps that Taylor elicited suggest that it could be even worse than most people imagined.
