In what can only be described as a stunning assault on our nation’s founding principles and some of our most hopeful and aspirational values, Senators Tom Cotton (R-AK) and David Perdue (R-GA) introduced a bill that would make drastic cuts to family-based immigration as well as transform the employment-based system.
Things went way off the rails as the Trump White House trotted out Stephen Miller to push for the xenophobic RAISE Act that Trump endorsed today. When asked by a reporter for proof of some his claims on the impact of immigration on low wage labor, Miller blew up, called the proposal common sense, and offered zero proof.
