This is how to handle fact-deniers.
Weather Channel’s Kait Parker isn’t playing nice after Breitbart News used one of her Weather Channel videos to propagate climate change denial.
“They used a completely unrelated video about La Niña, with my face in it, to attempt to back their point,†meteorologist Kait Parker said in a rebuttal video posted Tuesday. “Now what’s worse is a that the U.S. House Committee on Space, Science, and Technology actually tweeted it out.”

“Here’s the thing, science doesn’t care about your opinion,” Parker said before laying down the facts for the climate change deniers.
The Weather Channel told Breitbart to stop using their video to mislead Americans:

Just in case you think, meh it’s just Breitbart; aka, the President-elect’s publicity arm, it’s also the House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, as Parker mentioned:

The Weather Channel laid down some facts, “The Breitbart article – a prime example of cherry picking, or pulling a single item out of context to build a misleading case – includes this statement: ‘The last three years may eventually come to be seen as the final death rattle of the global warming scare.’
In fact, thousands of researchers and scientific societies are in agreement that greenhouse gases produced by human activity are warming the planet’s climate and will keep doing so.”
This is the kind of adherence to facts that is needed in the Age of Trump. Kudos to The Weather Channel and to Kait Parker for refusing to “compromise” and thereby conflate facts with opinion.
Science doesn’t care about the anyone’s opinion and no, opinion is not equal to fact and feelings aren’t equal to expertise.
