Former senior policy adviser to the McCain-Palin campaign Kori Schake told Yahoo News‘ Katie Couric that she would have trusted Sarah Palin with the country’s national security more than Donald Trump — and that’s “illustrative.”

Schake: That is a fantastic question and I think it’s illustrative that I would have trusted Sarah Palin in that position, but not Donald Trump.
Couric: Illustrative of what?
Schake: Illustrative of just how dangerous Donald Trump is. That is much more reckless than Sarah Palin — and that’s quite a standard.
Shake is one of 50 Republican national security experts who published a letter on Monday warning that Donald Trump was dangerous and they would not be voting for him. They wrote, “From a foreign policy perspective, Donald Trump is not qualified to be President and Commander in Chief. Indeed, we are convinced that he would be a dangerous President and would put at risk our country’s national security and well-being.â€
So Sarah Palin’s 2008 “gotcha” journalist Katie Couric is now the person who brings out that Donald Trump is more dangerous and reckless than Sarah Palin. Full circle.
This is a fair assessment. As frightening as Palin’s lack of knowledge and vindictive streak were, they pale in comparison to the person for whom she paved the way. Donald Trump knows less than Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin at least managed to keep Alaska afloat during her cut short two year stint as its governor. She made a lot of mistakes and had a stack of scandals, but she wasn’t asking why she couldn’t use the nuclear codes. So there’s that.
Sarah Palin endorsed Donald Trump but she did not speak at the RNC.
This is quite devastating critique, because while many might not have heard of Trump’s various gaffes and lack of knowledge or the many Republicans taking a stand against him, most of the country is familiar with Sarah Palin and they don’t like her. To think that the senior adviser to the McCain Palin ticket thinks Donald Trump is more reckless than Sarah Palin is a kill shot.
