If you want to know how damaging James Comey’s testimony was to the White House, consider that not a single member of the Trump administration appeared on the Sunday shows to defend the President.

no one from Trump admin on Sunday shows during this critical week — not good.

At best, this is a poorly organized effort to push back on Comey by the White House. At worst, the lack of a presence on the Sunday shows demonstrates that the Trump White House is so plagued by the Russia scandal that the only move they have his to hunker down and go silent.
Either way, it is mind boggling that the White House would have zero administration officials out there defending them after James Comey’s testimony. What they got instead was Trump’s lawyer that the President may fire the special counsel who is investigating him and several members of Congress like Lindsey Graham who argued that what Trump did was wrong, but if he goes down, it is likely to be because the President would not stop talking.
It is a sign of how inept this White House is that they would have no organized pushback against the testimony of former FBI Director James Comey. Trump is his own biggest problem, but if the White House can’t mount a defense of their president, Republican should get ready to kiss their congressional majority and the White House goodbye, because incompetence is killing them.
