Beck’s ratings have only gone up since this “boycott.” Fox News, according to their spokesman, has lost zero revenue dollars from this boycott. This is actually having the opposite impact.

A company shifting ads to other shows is only going to create an influx of companies looking to capitalize on Beck’s incredible ratings, AND increase revenue on other Fox shows. The bottom line will only go UP unless companies vacate Fox all together, which is not going to happen on any large scale.

Beck says some off the wall stuff, no doubt.

Actually, at this point what I would do is show this clip to the corporate sponsors who dropped Beck and say that O’Reilly just called them loons for voicing that they didn’t want Beck tied to their brand name.

    ” discredit color of change ? ”

Ok, Mr. Beck, Mr O……go grab a copy of ” past and/or current ” beck shows, specifically, ” Glenn Beck Calls Obama A Racist “.

There is no one or anything to ” discredit ” or to blame other than Beck himself. If having color of change involved makes any sponsor feel differently toward the boycott, per Beck’s ” conspiracy ” that members of the group may or may not be connected to the White House in one form or another…………and are making up or as Beck must be implying….Obama’s Hit men put words in Becks mouth and made him by force say disgraceful and distasteful things, on multiple shows, at different air times, etc, that there is NO TRUTH behind the groups ” good intentions “, I’ll be happy to post each advertisers email address, along with a template email message and we can bypass color of change’s involvement…………if Mr B and O are going to play victims here.

That won’t help, Beck already put the progressives in with the ‘loons’ on his little chart, and this is a ‘progressive’ website. Heck, a GOP group could mail it and he’d somehow connect them with communists. Everyone is connected to some kind of criminal, all you got to do is make enough stretches here and there.

by their logic, anyone who does not have a multi billion dollar media platform off of which to spew their crazy is having their first amendment rights violated right? But really, back to reality, these guys have every right to say whatever insanity they can dream up so long as they aren’t yelling theater! in a crowded fire :) That does not imply the right to have a well funded communication network syndicate it across the planet. There are ‘left wing loons all over the country’ if you look at the 08 electoral results, and its quite sad that the gop’r playbook has yet to change at all, once again, push the ’southern strategy’ and dust off the script for Red Scare v3.0, really? Communists? I thought the new boogeyman was Terrorists, which worked out nicely for them, since as a threat they pale in comparison to an ‘actual’ global superpower that Russia once was, yet somehow justify even more military spending than the Russian threat did, odd ain’t it that moderately funded technologically backward guerrillas inspire more defense spending than a nation that had an actual warmachine?

A company has the right to offer to spend money with whomever they wish to push their product, that’s called the free market. Funny, if these folks see sponsoring or advertising with a show may damage their profit making potential and leave they are now censors. There’s that free market argument out the window. What is really the kick here, Bill O called for boycotts of numerous news papers that printed op-eds he didn’t like. (Op-Eds)= editors opinions. My personal favorite his boycott of the Houston Chronicle. The editor gave an op-ed Bill said he was referred to, that was unflattering to the Bush Admin. He called for a boycott of a paper he doesn’t even read. But somehow that is his right, not yours Mr. and Mrs. America.

Majority of Americans is quite off the mark. A majority of republicans watch Fox News. Most liberals are busy in gainful pursuits that are beneficial to their fellows and therefore do not spend hours in front of the TV watching someone validate their pov. O’Reilly’s frequent calls for boycotts of any media that does not hold a right wing opinion makes Mr. O a hypocrite. What I find singularly bizarre is that Beck and Mr. O and The Fat Mean radio guy often make hypocritical leaps seemingly forgetting all their vitriol has been digitally recorded for posterity. Mr. O once proclaimed that speaking out against the Iraq war was an act of treason. Now he whines because the republican guard is out of office in America. Beck blasted the healthcare companies when he was injured, but now is the flag bearer for the healthcare business. Go figure.

I am a firm believer in free speech, but I am also a staunch supporter of the truth. This is the problem with Fuchs Noose. The entertainers lie to their audience, the viewers buy into these lies, the entertainers laugh at them behind their backs and make large deposits into their bank accounts. Fuchs Noose fuchs it’s viewers over and saddles them with a noose of lies and ignorance, making them an international laughingstock. I will not accept that Murdoch and his cabal of entertainers don’t know the facts. They do. They’ve made FN a network of censorship and propaganda and have reaped huge profits doing it. If their viewers think FN cares about them, they are in for a rude awakening.

My understanding is that all this additional press has made Beck even more popular. His ratings are soaring right now, he has not reason to start acting sane, he’s making a killing.
