Michael Avenatti warned Donald Trump on Saturday that his continued loyalty to Russian president Vladimir Putin is going to come back to destroy his presidency.
In an interview with MSNBC’s Joy Reid, the attorney for Stormy Daniels said he’s never seen Trump show loyalty to anybody in his life – except for Putin – and it will be his eventual downfall.
“Thus far, the only person I’ve seen Donald Trump show any loyalty to in his life is Vladimir Putin,” Avenatti said.

Thus far, the only person I’ve seen Donald Trump show any loyalty to in his life is Vladimir Putin, unfortunately. It’s a very short list. It’s a short list of one. It should have been a short list of at least two and the second person on that list should have been Michael Cohen. If there was anyone on the face of the planet that Donald Trump should have made sure was in the tent, made sure was protected, made sure was loved, watered and cared for, it should have been Michael Cohen and he didn’t do that. I think the result of that is going to be disastrous for the president.
Trump threw Michael Cohen under the bus while propping up Putin
As Michael Avenatti said, Trump’s decision to throw Michael Cohen under the bus and dedicate all of his loyalty to Russian president Vladimir Putin will end up having disastrous consequences for his presidency.
After all, Cohen is the keeper of all of Trump’s skeletons and many of those skeletons are likely documented in secret recordings. As it was reported on Friday, at least one of those tapes with Trump’s voice on it has been seized by investigators.
This week, with the entire world watching, Donald Trump showed where his real loyalty lies. It’s not with the United States or with his personal lawyer, who knows all of his dirt. It’s with Vladimir Putin.
Ultimately, that could be the undoing of his presidency.
