Key White House Staff Have Been Covering Up The N-Word Tape For Months

Key members of the White House staff have known about the much-hyped video recording of Donald Trump saying the N-word for months, according to Omarosa Manigault Newman.

In an interview with MSNBC’s AM Joy, Omarosa said one of the reasons she believes Chief of Staff John Kelly fired her was because he was aware she had information on the N-word tape.

“I sent an e-mail to Hope (Hicks) explaining to her I was concerned about the chatter I was hearing, that someone was about to release this tape,” Omarosa explained. “Hope responds to me and she says, we’ve already contained this or we already dealt with this.”

In other words, high-level Trump staff members like Hope Hicks and John Kelly have known about the N-word tape for months, and they’ve been working to cover it up. Firing Omarosa was part of that effort.

The exchange between Joy Reid and Omarosa:

JOY REID: You also write that at the time you believed at the time he was firing you that it was because somehow he knew that you knew that there was an n-word tape from Donald Trump’s “Apprentice” days. How would he know that if he didn’t even interact with you?

OMAROSA: Because there’s a whole e-mail chain. You’re the first one to ask me that, Joy, and I’m glad you asked. As I’ve stated, everything that’s in my book can be corroborated, it’s documented and verified. On that day, the first e-mail I sent that morning was to Hope Hicks. The e-mail will become public because they’re government e-mails. I sent an e-mail to Hope explaining to her I was concerned about the chatter I was hearing, that someone was about to release this tape. Hope responds to me and she says, we’ve already contained this or we already dealt with this, which I thought was interesting. And because of that exchange, that happened in the morning at 10:00 A.M. By 5:00 I got an e-mail from John Kelly’s assistant saying that he wanted to meet me in the situation room. It’s hard to ignore the coincidence that I had that exchange in the morning and by the evening he was locking me in the situation room making threats. … The White House knows this, Hope Hicks knows that and I’m sure John Kelly knows that too.

The White House is essentially admitting the tape exists

Through their actions, the White House has essentially admitted they know the tape exists. Instead of denying it, they have been working behind the scenes to prevent its release or at least minimize the damage.

According to Omarosa, a tape containing Trump repeatedly using the N-word will most likely drop before November as an October surprise. With or without it, though, the American people have already seen repeated instances of Trump demonstrating his racism.

Ultimately, it’s not yet a certainty that the so-called N-word tape exists, but the White House is sure acting like it does.
