Toronto Star fact checker Daniel Dale took after Donald Trump this morning in the wake of what he calls a “highly dishonest and frequently bonkers” interview with Fox Business this morning.
We have already seen that Donald Trump lied about President Obama’s response to Syria in 2013, and Dale excoriates him for that, adding that,
Here is Trump, with incredible audacity, saying "everybody" was waiting for Obama to launch the Syria strike Trump himself vocally opposed: pic.twitter.com/wvmSsgCCet

Dale throws in some Trump “gibberish” about his health care act for good measure:

I have been regularly attacking Trump for having no idea what his own foreigns policy is with regards Syria, so most frightening of all is this admission from Trump, because you know he is not keeping a secret. He genuinely doesn’t know:

“Bonkers” is certainly the word for Trump’s performance this morning. If he was trying to distract Fox viewers from his Carter Page meets with a Russian spy scandal, he certainly succeeded in that.
However doubtful it is that Fox viewers were dumbfounded by Trump’s bizarre interview, he certainly got our attention.
Everything from his claim that Chinese President Xi were was eating “the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake” when he told him about the Syrian missile strike, to lies that “many Democrats” think Trumpcare is “incredible,” reveals quite clearly that this is a president completely out of touch with reality.
