MSNBC’s Countdown Pays Tribute to Sarah Palin’s Whack Job 2009

You can call it a teaser for Countdown’s whack job of the year special, but if anyone needed a recap of the wild year that Sarah Palin had, the program delivered it tonight. The one thing you’ll probably notice about Palin’s year is that she quit her job, fought with the media, sold books, and did nothing productive in 2009.

Here is the video:

Guest host Laurence O’Donnell introduced the video by saying, “In 2009 Sarah Palin quit her job, picked a fight with a late night talk show host, and fibbed everywhere from her Facebook page to her Going Rogue book tour.”

That introduction pretty much summed up Palin’s year. Think about this, the most active thing she did politically in 2009 was to quit her job as Alaska governor. Otherwise she spent the remainder of the year playing to her Facebook fans and Twitter followers, all the while pushing her book.

Does anyone beyond her followers understand what she was talking about in her resignation speech? The speech makes even less sense almost 6 months after she gave it on the Friday before the 4th of July. I am not willing to call Sarah Palin insane. I do think that she is an expert self promoter, and this is mainly where her interest is centered.

This is just my own hunch, but I don’t think Palin will be willing to stop making money long enough to take a serious run at the presidency. Sarah is the Paris Hilton of politics. She is famous simply for being famous. If Palin was unwilling to put in the work to finish her term as governor, then why does anyone think she is willing to work 100 times harder in a presidential campaign?

Palin is ambitious, but that ambition is not matched by a desire to engage in the mundane work that makes up day to day campaigning and governing. Palin will continue to sell books and pander to the right wing of the GOP, but as the Countdown video illustrates, she is more interesting in promoting her brand than being president.

was full of Dominionist code words. She is quittin’ for a “higher calling” — and that is to “return America to biblical law.” A friend who knows her broke down the speech using prayer warrior code.

By the way, those Dominionists are nut jobs. Total nut jobs.

One can only assume she intends to reform America back to biblical law from the WH, but knowing her epic failure to comprehend anything about how government runs here in the USA, maybe she intends to run for Dept of Law and impose biblical law from her high standing on the legislative branch (sic), while she’s running congress. If only someone would tell her exactly what it is that a VP does, gosh dang it!

One thing that really baffles me is her lies. She lies on twitter, she lies on Facebook, she lies in her book, she lies on air, she lies she lies she lies.

Mentally ill? Maybe. I’ll go with sociopathic narcissist, since those who know her best use those two words to describe her most often.

I hope she doesn’t run in 2012, for the dignity of our country….(what’s left of it). But I sure would love to watch the fireworks if she did. And I hope Lizard lives to see it. He brought this upon our country; Country First, Johnny. Country First.

I’m hoping Keith picks her over Crazy Eyes….if just for the sheer magnitude of Palin’s WhackJobbery. She’s the Master WhackJobber! That’s the one job she hasn’t quit yet.

You people are beyond stupid.. “Dominionist code words”
Get a Christian friend so you understand that when Christians talk they don’t want to change your life! They just talk! And true Christians (like Palin) don’t force their religion down anyone’s throat. Please educate yourselves…You life mighty dumb.

Other than the Chrisitan bashing here I find you all to be completely obsessed with Sarah Palin. If you were smart you would ignore her…but you’re not.

Sjones has it absolutely right. There is a difference between someone who believes in Christiantiy versus a Dominionist. Dominionists don’t believe in live and let live…they DO want to return us to a time when biblical law was the rule. They are told they should be the ones taking over the 7 mountains…government, education, religion, busines, etc. This is why Palin is frightening. Her minions are true believers who don’t care whether she knows anything about governing or not. They think she is Queen Ester…an annointed one. Different religious beliefs, no religious beliefs, gay or transgendered? You’re all toast when the Rapture comes, but maybe they’ll take away all your rights while they’re waiting if they get her in power. Be smart people. Think.

One thing is clear, MSNBC and Mr. Olbermann are obsessed with Sarah Palin.

I don’t pay her much attention. But Keith’s show can’t go a day without spending a lot of time talking about her.
