The Sunday Shows were loaded up with the same Republicans who lied the country into war with Iraq. The problem is that not one member of the mainstream media called these Republicans out on being wrong about Iraq.
On Sunday, a number of Republicans made appearances on the various morning news shows to talk about President Obama’s decision to order airstrikes in Iraq to hinder the movement of ISIS towards American diplomats and troops in Erbil. They mentioned 9-11 in a way to scare Americans into supporting military action.
In her first real break with the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton criticized some of President Obama’s foreign policy and in the process gave liberals something to think about.
Graham said ominously, “I think of an American city in flames because of the terrorist ability to operate in Syria and Iraq.”
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) flat out rewrote history today with an untrue statement that blamed President Obama for the situation in Iraq because the president didn’t leave troops in the country.
Then-Secretary of State Colin Powell told George W. Bush that if he breaks Iraq with a pre-emptive invasion, he would have to fix and pay for it. That was about eleven years ago and although Bush is long gone, and American combat forces are out of Iraq, President Obama is left to fix and pay for the Bush neo-cons actions that broke Iraq.
This is a great idea, Rush, except that the only problems Obama has are of Republican making, and America’s existing problems are all due to the Republicans themselves
