Chris Hayes Laughs In Fox News’ Face After They Lose Viewers Over Constant Trump Coverage

As PoliticusUSA’s Jason Easley pointed out on Thursday, Fox News has stopped its practice of covering every moment of Donald Trump’s rallies because it’s been a drag on the ratings.

On MSNBC, a network that has instead dedicated its primetime lineup to educating viewers, Chris Hayes had no sympathy for the right-wing propaganda network.

“Trump TV reportedly doesn’t want to give up so much primetime real estate anymore,” Hayes said on Thursday. “Not that their primetime real estate is so discernible from a Trump rally anyway.”

Hayes said:

So if you, dear viewer, wanted to watch the Trump rally on Tuesday night, you probably went over to Trump TV, where you’ve been able to watch every other one of them. But instead, you would have found this guy in the Trump rally time slot. Tucker Carlson complaining about Antifa violence out of control. The rally, in fact, wasn’t aired live on any major network, even C-SPAN who reportedly cut away for other news. Apparently, Trump rallies just aren’t rating like they used to and there’s so many of them and they’re all the same. And so Trump TV reportedly doesn’t want to give up so much primetime real estate anymore. Not that their primetime real estate is so discernible from a Trump rally anyway. Politico says the Trump White House is not happy. A senior official says they’re going to “Look into that.” Last night, after another rally went untelevised, the president gave the channel two different phone interviews, one after 11 p.m., another early this morning – so thirsty – perhaps in an attempt to sweeten the pot. But for now, Tucker’s back giving you the good stuff.

Trump’s act is getting old, even for Fox News viewers

The fact that Fox News has ditched their practice of airing Trump rallies live suggests that the president’s act is growing old and stale – even for Fox News viewers.

As MSNBC’s Ari Melber pointed out on Thursday, Trump is now the equivalent of a washed-up rock star who is still living off old and boring hits, like ‘Lock Her Up’ and ‘Build the Wall’.

At the end of the day, even Fox News has realized that their gamble of televising every syllable Trump spews has failed miserably. If they continue to do it, they’ll either lose viewers or bore the ones they have to sleep.

Forgive us all for having zero sympathy for the propaganda network as Donald Trump drags them down.
