Blumenthal was asked when he expects Trump will be interviewed in the Russia investigation.

He answered, “My view is it will probably happen sometime this year. We’re going to have more convictions. There have been two already. And we will have more.”

Blumenthal also said that he knows that there will be more convictions, “The evidence accumulating against individuals within the white house, the administration, the mounting evidence of obstruction of justice that’s public. And we had no idea all of what is available.”

People want immediate action in this investigation, but the Trump/Russia case is so complex that it will take years to unravel and put all of the pieces together. The special counsel’s investigation has been very logical and straightforward. He is starting with lower level people in the campaign and working his way up.

Sen. Blumenthal is right. There will be more indictments and convictions. There is likely to be at least one indictment coming out of the cover-up that Trump tried to pull off on Air Force One of Donald Trump Jr. meeting with the Russians.

Trump’s problems are only beginning, and things are going to get much worse for the President in 2018.
