Donald Trump’s propaganda outlet of Sinclair Broadcast Group is force feeding lies to over 100 news stations about his administration’s abuse of migrant children to local news outlets as a “must-run” segment. The narrator tells the audience that the concern is overblown by “liberals” in the media, “Let’s be honest: While some of the concern is real, a lot of it is politically driven by the liberals in politics and the media.”

BORIS EPSHTEYN: Our immigration system is undeniably broken and the discourse around this topic is toxic. A perfect illustration of these facts is the recent firestorm surrounding President Trump’s decision to enforce a “zero tolerance†policy and prosecute all adults illegally crossing our borders. Many members of the media and opponents of the president have seized on this issue to make it seem as if those who are tough on immigration are somehow monsters. Let’s be honest: While some of the concern is real, a lot of it is politically driven by the liberals in politics and the media.

Of course, that is not honest at all.
In fact it is the opposite.
CNN’s Jake Tapper is a punching bag for Trump but he is no liberal. Tapper points out that the Trump administration is actively making it difficult for us to show you exactly what they are doing to kids:
It’s not an accident that the US government is making it so difficult for journalists, lawmakers, lawyers and others to bring you images and firsthand accounts from these separated parents and children. They are hiding the truth from you because they fear your reaction.

We learned yesterday that they are actually forcibly drugging children.
They tell the people in charge of the children to lie to reporters about who the children are and where they came from, as they move them on the streets of New York after midnight, and put bags over their heads.
They are running a child GITMO where children as young as 14 allege in court filings that they are being abused and tortured akin to what we should not be doing even to captured terrorists.
They have likely lost nearly 6,000 children.
Sinclair’s propaganda also does the Fox News Get Out of Jail Free dodge of making claims it never supports. By saying the “discourse around this topic is toxic,” they infer that it is the documentation of abuse of children that is toxic, so when their viewers hear about the abuse of migrant children, they will dismiss it as “toxic discourse.”
Facts are not discourse.
They move the goal posts by claiming the firestorm is about adults who are illegally crossing our borders, “surrounding President Trump’s decision to enforce a “zero tolerance†policy and prosecute all adults illegally crossing our borders.”
See how they did that? So not only do they deny that children are being abused and deny that this fact is what is disturbing even the Pope, but they moved the goal posts so far as to claim that evil liberals are upset about the law being enforced. The Pope, by the way, is not a liberal, to my knowledge.
Furthermore, Trump has set up a no win system where people can no longer present at legal ports of entry to ask for asylum. They must cross the border to do so. When they do, they are then treated as criminals.
The Sinclair propagandist actually said nothing. But you will hear his talking points infused into the national debate even though they make no sense, do not address the facts at all, and are patently cowardly and false. You will hear them on Fox News, which has become State Run TV. You will hear them online and from your neighbors and coworkers and, for some of us, our families.
Do not fall for it. It is meant to confuse and obfuscate an issue so clearly morally wrong that it is not a debate. There will be no debate about abusing children. We must not stand for it.
Leaders of democracies do not use or need propaganda. The fact that Donald Trump needs so much propaganda about what he is doing is not a good sign.
