Kamala Harris Rips Into Trump For Golfing While Blood Spilled On American Streets

California senator and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris ripped into Donald Trump on Monday for his complete leadership failure following the mass shooting attacks over the weekend.

“He’s the President of the United States. He should be bringing a sense of calm,” Harris said in an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews. “He should be bringing a sense of compassion, and, you know, the guy’s out playing golf after this happened. ”

Sen. Harris said:

His words have no meaning on this issue as well as many others. But on this issue, in particular, his words have no meaning today. You know, he waits this long to speak. He’s the President of the United States. He should be bringing a sense of calm. He should be bringing a sense of compassion, and, you know, the guy’s out playing golf after this happened. And I think that what it speaks to is a failure of leadership across the board. And then on the issue of gun violence, in addition to the issue of the white nationalism and the hate that are behind this, we need action and we need action that is called on by the Preesident of the United States and that is acted on by the United States Congress. But we see a failure across the board.

Trump should have just stayed on the golf course

This president’s words are about as valuable as a degree from Trump University. On this issue, Trump’s rhetoric is particularly empty.

That was especially true on Monday as he finally addressed the nation days after tragedy and violence struck two communities and killed more than 30 innocent Americans.

Instead of a compassionate and strong response to the mass murder, Trump came out and delivered a lifeless set of remarks blaming everything but guns for the shooting attacks.

During the Trump presidency, we have seen some of the most deadly mass shootings in this country’s history, and this president – bowing down to his NRA masters – has refused to take action.

If this is the best response we can get out of Donald Trump, we would all be better off as a country if he just stayed on the golf course.
