On Friday’s The O’Reilly Factor, the love/hate feelings that Bill O’Reilly has for Glenn Beck flared up again, as O’Reilly told Beck, “So here’s Beck and he has been on the air for a year at Fox News Channel, it’s amazing that you haven’t been fired yet, a couple of close calls.” As usual Bill-O hid his dig at Beck with humor, but make no bones about it, Bill-O would not mind seeing Beck hit the bricks.
While fear mongering about health care on his radio show with Noel Sheppard from Newsbusters, Glenn Beck said, “I don’t believe liberals have hearts. No, no, no, they have hearts. They have no brains.” Interestingly enough, liberals were smart enough to beat Beck and his mindless followers on health care, so if liberals lack brains, what does that make him?
On last night’s The Daily Show, complete with a full Beckesque set, and a dead on impression, Jon Stewart mocked Glenn Beck’s recent attacks on progressivism as a cancer. Stewart said, “I looked approvingly at child labor laws, inspections of meat and poultry and other food stuffs, women voting. I thought it was progress…America I have cancer, we in this country have cancer, value and document eating cancer.”

Steve King (R-IA) and they both came to the interesting conclusion that health care reform is an affront to the conservative sensibilities of God, because the vote may be held on Sunday. Beck said, “Here is a group of people that have so perverted our faith and our hope and our charity, that is a this is an affront to God.”
The brewing battle between the journalists at Fox News and Glenn Beck took a new turn today as Hill reporter Carl Cameron refuted the right wing, including FNC’s own Glenn Beck’s attack, on the so called Slaughter Solution as an unprecedented move to pass healthcare reform. Cameron said, “Deeming has been used literally for centuries.”
On the Monday edition of his Fox News program, Glenn Beck claimed that America is not a democratic society. While smearing the mother of a woman who died without healthcare, Beck said, “Well, we’re not a democratic society. I think that was the Soviet Union. I believe it is the democratic socialist republic in China as well.” Beck appears to be calling for the abolition of democracy in the United States of America.
On his radio show today, Glenn Beck claimed that the concept of social justice is a perversion of the gospel, and that social justice is not something that Jesus would talk about. Beck said that social justice is, “a perversion of the gospel.” Beck’s point was that the gospel is really about capitalism and free market economics. According to Beck, Jesus was an anti-government conservative.
Today on his radio show Glenn Beck continued to react to the fact that he turned himself into a national laughingstock with his Fox News interview of former Rep. Eric Massa yesterday. Beck tried to place all of the blame on Massa for yesterday’s 60 minutes of train wreck television. The Massa interview could end up being a watershed in Beck’s career, because it was at this point his hubris and arrogance finally derailed his Fox News stardom.
Glenn Beck hosted Michelle Malkin on his radio show today, presumably to discuss Eric Massa’s appearance today on Beck’s Fox News show, but he and Malkin got into a huge argument over why Beck is promoting and giving air time to Massa. Malkin asked Beck, “How much oxygen do you really want to give a guy who is trying to save his job?” Beck then questioned whether or not he and Malkin were on the same side.

Fox News president Roger Ailes was on ABC’s This Week today, where he was confronted by Arianna Huffington about the inflammatory rhetoric that Glenn Beck uses on his show. Ailes replied, “He’s talking about Hitler and Stalin slaughtering people so I think he was probably accurate.”

Beck is still claiming that under the bill, people who don’t buy insurance will face jail time. This is not true. The penalty for not buying insurance is an additional tax. No one will go to jail.
Glenn Beck returned to his radio show today, and he moved beyond his usual calls for revolution. Beck has now deemed the Republican Party a lost cause that can’t be changed, and he predicted that in one year from now there will be a third party. He said, “I think the best way to get the Republicans to change is to abandon them.”
Last night on The Daily Show Jon Stewart delivered the perfect spoof of Glenn Beck and his Fox News program. Calling himself a concerned American citizen about what’s going on inside Glenn Beck, Stewart then broke out a chalkboard and revealed a conspiracy theory about how Beck’s own internal organs have turned against him. Many viewers and listeners probably noticed that Glenn Beck was absent for much of his radio and his Fox News television program yesterday. It turns out that Beck suffered an appendicitis attack, and is recovering from surgery. This didn’t stop Beck from taking a shot a Michael Moore via his Twitter page.

The organization ColorOfChange.org announced today that 19 more companies have joined the advertiser boycott of Glenn Beck. This brings the total number of companies participating in the boycott to 80. The most recent additions include Subaru, Toyota-Lexus, and Equifax. Even Beck’s B and C list advertisers are now leaving him.

Graham, a friend of John McCain specifically took issue with Beck saying that country is better off with Barack Obama as president. Graham said that Beck doesn’t represent conservatism and the GOP.

He wants to send the uninsured to Walmart and Walgreens for healthcare. Beck touts the fact that these stores are cheaper than a trip to the emergency room, without acknowledging that they don’t provide serious care.
The city council of Glenn Beck’s hometown of Mount Vernon, WA has distanced itself from the mayor’s plan to honor Beck on September 26 with Glenn Beck. Last night the city council unanimously passed a motion that stated that the council is not affiliated with Glenn Beck day in any way.
Glenn Beck sat down for an interview with Katie Couric for her CBS News.com series @katiecouric. Couric asked Beck if his joke about poisoning Pelosi was part of his show business side. Beck responded, “Have you asked Jon Stewart this question?” The implication being that the man followed by millions of conservatives considers his program to be a comedy, just like The Daily Show.

Today on his radio show, hypocrisy was on the air as, Glenn Beck ranted about the danger of false cries of racism. Beck wanted to see the evidence that Rep. Joe Wilson is a racist. I think that is a great idea, and Beck himself should be held to the same standard. We should ask Glenn Beck to present his evidence that President Obama is a racist.
Color of Change today announced that their organized boycott of advertisers on FNC’s Glenn Beck is costing the network $600,000 a week, even though Beck just set a personal record for viewers last Thursday, his show as gone from $1.06 million a week in ad revenue in early August to $492,000 last week.
Today on his radio show Glenn Beck not only claimed that the U.S. media is under reporting the 9/12 protest attendance, but also that the protest was the biggest march on Washington ever. Today Dobbs defended Glenn Beck calling Obama a racist, and attacked Color of Change for boycotting Glenn Beck’s advertisers. Dobbs said that Beck has guts. Beck may have guts, but he doesn’t have advertisers.
Apparently sensing that his Red Scare campaign was not frightening enough to his listeners, today on his radio show Glenn Beck upped the ante and claimed that the left is trying to get him. Beck urged his listeners to pray for his protection because George Soros and other lefties are funneling billions of dollars to stop him. I hate to tell him this, but the left doesn’t take Beck’s Chicken Little act seriously.
Glenn Beck’s daily attacks on Obama adviser Van Jones paid off today as Jones resigned his position as Obama’s green jobs adviser. There was not a great outcry among the general public for Jones’ resignation, but FNC’s Beck decided to retaliate against Jones to combat the advertiser boycott of his show carried out by the group Color of Change, which was co-founded by Jones.
On his MSNBC show Countdown tonight, host Keith Olbermann, in a parody of Glenn Beck’s communism in Rockefeller Plaza segment, exposed Beck and Fox News’ own communism, by revealing that Glenn Beck works at the Fox News building, which is also a part of Rockefeller Center. ColorofChange.org announced today that 11 more advertisers have stopped airing ads on FNC’s The Glenn Beck Program. Beck has now lost 57 advertisers since he called President Obama a racist on Fox and Friends. The new additions include Capital One, Dannon, and Mercedes-Benz.
Beck has spent the week foaming at the mouth about the Van Jones, White House special adviser who is the inactive co-founder of Color of Change. Yeah, that Color of change; the organization behind the very effective boycott against Beck’s racism, but it is time for some truth about Van Jones.
On his FNC program today Glenn Beck claimed that Barack Obama is going to bomb the Canadian oil pipelines to nationalize the oil and gas industries. Beck said, “Oh they’ll say they didn’t want to seize control of the oil companies….but we had to.” I think someone has been watching the South Park movie again.

Kurtz pointed out that Beck has failed to mention that Jones is also the co-founder of ColorofChange, the group that is leading the advertiser boycott of his show.
The massive exodus of advertisers from Glenn Beck’s television show appears to be taking its toll on the host. Beck went on a paranoid rant about Media Matters and liberal bloggers attacking him. Beck said, “What they have to do is break my legs. What they have to do is silence me. What they have to do is Sarah Palin me.
Ten more companies have joined the Color of Change boycott against Glenn Beck’s Fox News program. The additions to the list include Applebee’s, DirecTV, Travelers Insurance, Kraft, and Vonage. This now brings the total number of advertisers who have dropped Beck to 46 since he called President Obama a racist.

In response to the boycott campaign applied to Glenn Beck’s advertisers after the host called President Obama a racist by Color of Change, Fox News tried to cool things off by sending the controversial host on vacation. The result is that 16 more advertisers left Beck’s show while he was gone, which means that the strategy was a complete failure.

The Glenn Beck advertiser boycott has officially reached the mainstream as the AP ran a story today about the advertiser backlash that Fox News and Glenn Beck are facing after he called President Obama a racist. Clorox became the latest big name to drop Beck.
According to Credo Action, Verizon Wireless has become the latest advertiser to dump Glenn Beck. In an email, the group confirmed that the nation’s largest wireless telecommunications network has stopped advertising on Beck’s Fox News program. Even a week of vacation has not completely slowed the steam of the Beck advertiser defections.
TVNewser is reporting that Fox News has sent Glenn Beck on a forced vacation this week in an attempt to take some of the heat off of the host he has seen almost two dozen advertisers leave his show. Rumor has it that Beck himself was telling people that FNC forced him to take the week off. The network and Beck’s publicist have denied the report.

ColorofChange.org announced today that the nation’s largest retailer Wal-Mart has pulled its ads from Glenn Beck’s Fox News program. Seven other companies joined the retail giant, including Best Buy and CVS have stopped advertising on Beck’s program. This now means that 20 advertisers have left Glenn Beck since he called Obama a racist.
GMAC Financial Services has become the latest company to stop advertising on Glenn Beck’s Fox News Channel program after he called President Obama a racist. GMAC Financial joins a list that includes, ConAgra, Roche, Sanofi-Aventis, RadioShack, Men’s Wearhouse, State Farm, as companies that have dropped Beck.
The group ColorofChange.org has announced that four more advertisers have pledged to pull their ads from Glenn Beck’s Fox News Channel program. ConAgra (maker of Healthy Choice products), Roche, Sanofi-Aventis, and RadioShack will now join LexisNexis-owned Lawyers.com, Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance, SC Johnson and GEICO as former advertisers.

FNC’s Juan Williams was on C-SPAN yesterday, and he had some comments about Glenn Beck’s claims that President Obama is a racist. Williams said, “People are just saying things to stir the pot or to create an audience for themselves, because I don’t see it. There’s no reality to that,” even FNC contributors think that Beck struggles with reality.
Glenn Beck showed up on FNC’s Fox and Friends today to declare that President Barack Obama is a guy who has exposed himself as a guy who has a deep seated hatred for white people and white culture. On his Fox News Channel program today, Glenn Beck lamented the defeat of an amendment that would have allowed people with concealed carry gun permits to carry their guns across state lines. Beck went into his love of guns and said, “I went to the movie this weekend with a gun. And surprise, surprise, I didn’t kill anybody!”

Beck said, “This direct vote just put Barack Obama into office. Congratulations on that direct vote.” The problem is that the United States does not directly elect the president, and the system isn’t a direct democracy.

Bad things always seem to happen when Glenn Beck and history collide. The latest example occurred today on FNC’s Fox and Friends, where Glenn Beck claimed that the United States bought Alaska in 1950s so that we could drill for oil. Beck apparently got Alaska’s date of purchase and the year that it became a state confused.
On his radio show today, Glenn Beck called Bernie Madoff a dirt bag, but he also defended him as a small fish compared to all the other people out there. Beck said, “Why is this big story? This is the small fish.” Apparently, Beck’s definition of a small fish is not the same as everyone else.

Beck worried that by not filling out the Census the government could take away his gun. Bachmann also continued to claim that the Census information could used to put Americans into internment camps.

On his radio show today, Glenn Beck defended the extremism of Holocaust Museum shooter James von Brunn. Beck compared Brunn’s opposition to the Fed to Thomas Jefferson. He claimed that Brunn was labeled right wing extremist because he was against the Fed. He ignored Brunn’s white supremacist beliefs and his conviction for his armed kidnapping plot at the Fed.
On his Fox News show Glenn Beck claimed that the bailouts are nothing more than ACORN on a governmental scale. What this means, only Beck knows for sure, but he thinks that we should have known better because Obama was a community organizer. In essence, Beck tried to connect Obama, ACORN, and GM.

Beck said that it is an intellectually dishonest argument to blame either of them. The only people responsible are those who pulled the triggers.

Goldberg made the claim that GM’s bankruptcy is all part of Obama’s central plan. The option he advocated was to allow the automakers to fail, which would have turned the recession into a depression, but Beck and company didn’t consider that.
