Opinion: Plan Your Vote or Lose it

This week we were reminded of everything we stand to lose if Trump finds a way to steal the presidency again. Yeah, I know he “won†the Electoral College vote and with it the presidency. But as the Republican-controlled Senate Intelligence committee acknowledged in its report this week, that “win†was engineered with a lot…

Dick Cheney: A Cancer on the U.S. Body Politic

I believe that Dick Cheney is a rapidly metastasizing cancer upon the body politic. President Obama has been very gracious — perhaps too gracious regarding the matter of that old Dick. Mr. Cheney is unrepentant regarding the issues of torture and wars of choice, and utterly convinced of the rightness of his actions. He thinks Mr. Obama is weak, effete, an “elite”. At the bottom of his heart there is only fear.

Dick Cheney wants $2 Million for His Memoirs

According to the New York Times, former vice president Dick Cheney is asking for $2 million for his memoirs, which will cover his political career. Cheney’s book will be one of seven works that are being written by former members of the Bush administration. My question is who would pay millions for a book that is certain to end up in the dollar bin?

Cheney Waxes Nostalgically for the Good Old Days of 9/11

During his speech at the American Enterprise Institute today, former vice president Dick Cheney continued to offer up his version of the Bush administration. Today Cheney said that the release of two memos will lead to the Bush administration, “will stand up well in history,” but the most striking part of his speech was his fond remembrance of America’s fear after 9/11.

Liz Cheney Defends Dear Old Dad on Authorizing Torture

Former Deputy Sec. of State Liz Cheney was on ABC’s This Week today, and she defended her father Dick Cheney against a report this week that he wanted a detainee waterboarded to prove an Iraq/al-Qaeda connection. In an interview with North Dakota radio host Scott Hennen former vice president Dick Cheney said that it would be a mistake for the Republican Party to become more moderate. He said that doing so would mean changing the fundamental philosophy of the GOP. Cheney also said that the older Republicans should move on, but yet he is still here, helping the Democrats.

Dick Cheney Claims to Be Defending the Little Guy From Obama

Former VP Dick Cheney gave an interview to The Weekly Standard, in which he claimed that he publicly criticizes President Obama because he is fighting for the little guy. Cheney claimed to be defending the lower level Bush administration people on the torture issue. The problem with Cheney’s statement is that President Obama has made it clear that he is not interested in prosecuting the little guy.

Former Cheney Aide Doesn’t Deny Assassination Hit List

Last month journalist Seymour Hersh broke the story that the Bush administration used an executive assassination ring to go into countries and execute people on a hit list.
