WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Donald Trump is removing the director of the U.S. Secret Service, the agency that provides protection for him and other top U.S. officials, the White House said on Monday, a day after the ouster of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.
A provision of the new Homeland Security reauthorization bill would allow armed Secret Service agents to enter polling locations at the direction of the President, and state officials in charge of elections are not happy. The bill has been passed by the U.S. House of Representatives and next will be considered in the U.S. Senate.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) will introduce an amendment that will block the Secret Service from paying to stay at any Trump businesses or properties.
After Trump's lawyer Jay Sekulow had claimed that the Secret Service should have stopped the Russians from meeting with the Trump campaign, Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) called Sekulow dumb as a rock.
The Secret rejected Trump's lawyer's argument that they should have vetted the Russians that Trump Jr. was meeting, but made it clear that they were in the building to protect Trump, which means that President Trump knew about the meeting.

As shocking as this type of imagery is, it's par for the course when it comes to the Trump campaign.

Until it is fully funded, the Secret Service will not be able to move forward with the additional security measures recommended for the White House and President Obama.
